Throughout this class, we have watched many entertaining and informative documentaries. Now it is your turn to create an entertaining documentary. In this Webquest, you and a partner have the task of creating an informative and entertaining documentary on the War of 1812.
You and your group will work together to produce a well made, professional documentary video using images and information gathered from the Internet. Your group will focus on the causes, events, and effects of the War of 1812. The following must be included in the video for full points (30 pts):
Content: A video of approximately 5 - 7 minutes long which tells this information
-An introduction to the CAUSES of the War of 1812 in plain English.
-4 Graphs/ Charts/ Maps MINIMUM included in your causes with an explanation.
-10 Images MINIMUM (pictures, political cartoons, etc.)
-Information from the American, British, and Native American Perspectives.
-5 Written Primary Sources (Journal entries, Diary parts, etc. you want to read)
-A explanation of a few events that happened during the war.
- A recreated scene,an interview of historic people, etc. (you can use props, let me know what you need).
- Short Term Results of the War of 1812 (casualties, who "won")
- Long term effects of the war of 1812 to both the US and Canada.
Production: A video of approximately 5 - 7 minutes long which tells this information
- An original Film "poster" created by the group as an introduction to your film.
- A written script of notes used to record information prior to adding it to the video (I do not need word for word, just general script notes)
-A soundtrack to go along with your video (Make sure your VOLUME is low enough to hear the documentary).
-Video editing is professional, one can hear dialogue, and is accurate
