We just got done watching “The Lost Boys”. I thought it was a good movie. It was very interesting and it taught me a lot about what is going on in Sudan. The ost boys had a lot of problems in America.

Lost Boys of Sudan is the movie about hundreds of boys from Dinka tribe. They were orphaned or displaced during the Civil War in Sudan. They are nicknamed the Lost Boys, because those who worked with them in Africa found the boys without parents, and without homes.

One day the people in the Dinka tribe got attacked. They heard gunshots and then started running for there life. About 30,000 of the boys escaped. The rest of there people either got captured or they were killed. Most of the boys haven’t seen there parents since then. They are called The Lost Boys because when they were found them they didn’t have any parents. The boys were then sent to refugee camps where they lived with other people effected. Some of them were then sent to America. Were they tried to make there way in the world.

In the Movie about the Lost Boys of Sudan, a group of bays from Sudan, Africa come over to the United States to get an education and a job for the people of their village. They were part of the Dinka village and their goal was to keep Dinka culture alive. They kind of believe that the United States are going to be like Heaven on Earth compared to where they came from. Sudan is a poor country in Africa that has a lot of fighting and violence. The lost boys of Sudan come to America because they are the future of Sudan. First of all they need to be alive to be the future of Sudan, and second of all they need money and an education. When they get here they realize that there really is no heaven on Earth. The United States is a lot more of a challenge than they thought it was going to be. In a way they were like us, trying to stay ahead of their growing piles of bills with there jobs, but still trying to find a way for school and friends on the side. Another challenge would be there English. I remember one of them saying he spoke four different languages. I know I have difficulty trying to improve one and learn another. It would be a lot harder in this world if you had a hard time talking and understanding the language of the country you are in.

We watched the documentary called The Lost Boys of Sudan. In the beginning of the video I learned the lost boys story. When the Danki (?) tribe was attacked women and girls were taken captive. Men and boys had the opportunity to run and they did. Once the got to a refugee camp they were called lost boys because they should up with no parents and knew very little about what happened to them. The only family they had were each other. They all considered each lost boy as their brother. After the attack life was terrible. Very little food or clean water. Some had shoes but if they did then they were very worn down or torn up.

The Lost Boys of Sudan is a group of boys who, during the course of a civil war. with people from arabia lost their parents due to murder or literally can’t find their parents. A few years ago the United States granted them asylum, A safe place from the war and starvation of africa, and allowed them to come to africa. A lot of them were thrilled, they saw America as a “Heaven on Earth.”

A refugee is someone who flees their country seeking refuge or safety, usually because of extreme conflicts like war. In Sudan, a country located in eastern Africa, civil war caused many people to become refugees. There were over 20,000 of these refugees by the end of the war. Surviving was not a hard thing to do, and if you did, it came with many sacrifices. Boys that preserved and were found by United Nations workers helping the people of Sudan through the conflict called them lost boys, because they were alone without their parents.

The reason they came to america was because of the war going on in Sudan that caused refugees to come to the United States. They came to live a better life. but they discovered that it wasn't so easy to live in the U.S. as they thought it was. They had to pay rent which they weren't used to doing. They had to work and send some of the money they made back home so their family can survive. They had to buy food and go to school. They found it hard to get their license. Another problem was adjusting to another language. The boy boy featured in the film was just as smart as anyone going to school they learned about the same thing at school.
